It is officially the end of National Novel Writer’s Month.
I fell behind during the month on both writing and blogging due to family matters, but rallied with a 9800 word final day to finish over the line and be a NaNoWriMo winner!
For those of you who aren’t writers, a professional writer is expected to put in roughly 2,000 words per day. So I did a week’s worth of work in the past 24 hour hours. I am really looking forward to sleep, church, and Dresden Files the Role Playing Game for Sunday.
Those of you who think it is unprofessional for an author to talk about church or gaming, I am a Christian fiction author. Every author I want to be should I ever grow up is a gamer, and as a writer of religious fiction I had best perform due diligence in the spiritual realm or I am churning out several thousand words of hypocrisy a day.
Movie and book reviews will come fast and furious over the next week or so as i get caught up on everything I haven’t had a chance to do before. Thank you for your patience over the past weeks gentle readers!
Onward!
Any word on if your going to release what you wrote this month?
at 50,000 words I’m done with 2 of the 5 parts. It’s looking like a 120-150k word project. I am hoping to finish the rough draft this month, edit in January, and release to Kindle and Nook TENTATIVELY in February. So… February 3rd is a tentative release date.
Congrats. It sounds interesting from the first chapter you published earlier as well.
Your mention that you where doing NaNoWriMo inspired me to give it a try this year as well. I hit the 50k words on Friday (of what will probably be a 55-60k novel), which I’m pretty happy with for my first try at writing anything longer than short stories. Hopefully once I’ve spent a few weeks editing it, it will actually be a decent novel as well. 😉
Congrats, and based on the extract you published it sounds interesting.
Also your post about NaNoWriMo inspired me to give it a try myself. I hit the 50k words on Friday (of what will probably end up being 55-60k), which I’m pretty happy with for my first try writing novel length fiction. Hopefully once I spend a few weeks editing it, it will even be a decent novel. 😉
