Maze Runner Revisited

In his book On Writing, Stephen King says one of the benefits of constantly reading is the moment when you come across a published author and think, “I can do better than this. Hell, I am already doing better than this!”

This spurs you onward.

Thank you, James Dashner, for your book The Maze Runner. I have read your incoherent illogical fever dream of torture porn featuring your fixation with teenage boys. I even watched the film hoping that professional screenwriters in Hollywood could salvage something better from the wreck of your plot, as they have polished the A Song of Ice and Fire novels. It turns out they are beyond redemption.
I am already doing better than this.

Moving onward.
